Arsenal have reportedly made an offer to sign Dusan Vlahovic this January, three years after the striker snubbed them for Juventus.
The Gunners are yet to make a signing in the winter transfer window despite desperately needing a striker. Gabriel Jesus is out for the rest of the season after rupturing his ACL against Manchester United.
Meanwhile, Kai Havertz continues to struggle in front of goal, and a busy schedule leaves Mikel Arteta's side short of firepower. Despite this, the Arsenal manager has played coy when asked about the possibility of securing new signings.
Yet the Gunners have now reportedly made an offer to sign 24-year-old striker Vlahovic from Juventus on a loan deal until the end of the season. Juve are said to have swiftly rejected the bid as they'd prefer to sell the player outright as they'll then have the funds to sign a replacement.
Arsenal fans will be well acquainted with Vlahovic as he was heavily linked with a move to north London in January 2022. The Gunners, who were at the time in a similarly desperate situation, made an offer of £50million plus Lucas Torreira, which was rejected by Fiorentina.
Vlahovic later completed a £66.6m move to Italian giants Juve on a four-and-a-half-year deal. He later revealed he had no intention of joining Arsenal.
"Maybe my agent knows [about Arsenal's offer] but I never talked to anyone about it," Vlahovic said in an interview with The Telegraph. "I just had one club in my mind because Juventus is Juventus. There is nothing else to say.
"And now I feel honoured to be given this jersey. It's incredible every time I put it on. I definitely identify with their DNA. The Juventus personality coincides with my personality."
Vlahovic has gone on to score 40 Serie A goals in 91 appearances for Juventus. And while Arsenal were initially expected to wait until this summer to conduct their business for a striker, their injury situation and waning title aspirations may have added a sense of urgency in landing a prolific forward.
RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko is understood to be Arsenal's preferred long-time target, with Arteta having pursued the Slovenia international last summer. But Sesko, who wanted to remain in Germany for another year, will only be available at the end of this season.
Alexander Isak of Newcastle is another name constantly linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium, though his reported record £150m price-tag would be impossible for Arsenal to match this month.

vlahovic is not a good strike even Haverts is far better
Jackson is mile better than him, cos Jackson have some qualities that Havertz lack, e.g dribbling, running with balls, both of them are good in wasting chances anyway, but use Jackson as a 10 and link him up with a brilliant striker, you'll know he's 100% better than Havertz, anyway Havertz is in level with solanke and Nunez, but I'll still prefer nunez over him

havertz cannot play any other role apart from 9, cos he's sluggish and rigid and can't take on one on one player, the fact is that his quality is below premier league level
he's a prem level back up. his movement off the ball is one of the best in Europe he just can't finish constantly.

that striker would be perfect for us as we struggle with Havertz upfront , Arsenal a complete striker who knows how and when to score a goal because Arteta has given German enough time to try and bang goals but he couldn't score even a single one in more tha three games which leaves fans with one question ' why is he deployed as a false nine again because according our knowledge Kai is a midfielder but here Arteta confuses the player to be mocked by his own fans and supporters ? is it difficult for the club to sign or loan a topman , some one with experience upfront rather convecting Havertz ?
