Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri has labelled questions over his future at the club 'offensive' after they crashed out of the Champions League against Lyon.
Despite claiming a 2-1 victory in the second leg of their Round of 16 tie, the Serie A side were knocked out by Lyon on away goals, following a 1-0 victory for the Ligue 1 outfit in the first match.
Speculation has since grown concerning Sarri's future as Juventus, with some reports suggesting the club have approached former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The Italian did not remain quiet as murmurs spread after the full-time whistle as he insisted the Champions League disappointment will not lead to him losing his job.
'I don't think directors of a top level club will make a decision based on one match,' Sarri said to Sky.
'They are going to evaluate the whole season. I find this kind of question offensive, but not towards me, it's offensive towards the directors.
'I have a contract, I'll respect it and I don't expect anything.'
As Juventus chased the pivotal goal that never came, Sarri risked subbing on Paulo Dybala, who was still dealing with a thigh injury.
He admitted it was a risk to bring the attacker on in his current state but said he would have been critiqued for not doing so.
'If I had come here without using Dybala, then I would've been asked why I hadn't risked him,' Sarri said. 'If not tonight, then when?
'It was a risk, but Douglas Costa was out and Cuadrado had some muscular problems, he was alerting the bench that he was struggling, so we had to use the substitution slot for both Danilo and Dybala.'
Sarri's first season has not been seen as a roaring success at the Allianz Stadium, despite leading the Old Lady to their ninth consecutive Serie A title.
Their title triumph came by just a one-point margin - an unconvincing feat after years of more dominant league wins.
In the domestic cups, Sarri has endured frustrating campaigns with defeats in the Italian Supercup to Lazio and the Coppa Italia final to Napoli.

told ya, they'll blame everything on Sarri 😂
Dybala was injured and Sarri still played him... he's always playing injured players when they should be recovering.. now De Ligt needs a shoulder surgery too

my friend, ITS HIS leadership and ability to read the game which is superb. AS A PLAYER. we haven't seen him do anything as a manger yet. so maybe if he gets a few years of experience, then he can take over, u understand my point?

ok, pirlo is a club legend but he has no experience whatsoever managing a senior team, let alone a team like Juventus. If he proves himself at managerial stage like zidane, pep, klopp etc then we can considee

Judging based on one match ? tell us one match where juventus has played entertaining match like his old napoli team. He is average coach who just cant encourage and pump his team when they are in trouble. last night also they needed a wrong penalty and a ronaldo rocket to even come close.

the only offense here is that you're still the manager, you should have been sent packing long ago, sarri don't have a clue as to what he's doing, Juventus only won the league on its own merit,

he should add more attack to the front line apart from dybala and cr7, no midfielder is even attempting to score that shows how much juve rely on cr7 and dybala
well rabiot plays awesome amd goes and runsand pulls the trigger yesterday in stoppage time they couldnt get the ball in the box and everyone out there refuse to get the ball and have a shot
