Zlatan Ibrahimovic boasted of his vast wealth and allegedly threatened to kill his LA Galaxy team-mates in an extraordinary dressing-room outburst.

Galaxy had relinquished a 2-0 lead on the final day of the 2018 season, losing 3-2 to Houston Dynamo before the Sweden international launched into a tirade at the StubHub Center Stadium.

Galaxy had recorded an underwhelming 13th-place MLS finish, a result which provoked an angry reaction from Ibrahimovich, according to former colleague Joao Pedro.

'At the end of the game, he gave us a talking to,' Pedro told Record.

'He said, "If you are going to come here to go to the beach or take a walk in Hollywood, just say so.

''I have 300 million on my account, an island – I don't need this for anything. The first one who says something to me, I will kill him".'

Pedro, who made 34 appearances for the USA club, also claimed Ibrahimovich told the squad: 'My birthday is every day. Pass the ball here.'

After leaving Galaxy and re-signing for AC Milan in December, the forward reflected on his MLS experience, a division in which he scored 52 goals in 56 games.

Ibrahimovic said: 'I've done amazing and perfect things.

'I think I'm the best player in the history of the MLS, without joking. I can play like this wherever I go, easy.'

Now 38, Ibrahimovic has scored four goals in 10 matches during his second spell for AC Milan. In total, he has plundered 65 goals in 90 appearances for the club.
