Inter Milan coach Inzaghi upset with Lukaku, Handanovic red cards: Fair until 95th minute

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi was left frustrated after their 1-1 draw at Coppa Italia semifinal opponents Juventus.

Inzaghi was left angry as red cards for Romelu Lukaku and Samir Handanovic means they'll be suspended for the second-leg.

Juan Cuadrado had Juve ahead with an angled drive before Gleison Bremer's handball allowed Inter striker Romelu Lukaku to convert the equalising penalty for the first-leg result.

Lukaku was shown a second yellow card and sent off for his celebrations. Then at the final whistle Inter captain Samir Handanovic and Cuadrado were sent off for their physical clash.

“What happened is that Lukaku's celebration was misunderstood. He always celebrates like that, unfortunately it sparked an ugly scene that was not nice to see and will deprive us of fundamental players like Lukaku and Handanovic in the second leg," Inzaghi told Sport Mediaset.

Asked about claims of racist chants coming from Juve fans, the coach continued: “Clearly, we sensed that, but I go beyond that and see a player who scores, celebrates and it all happened from there. Now I have to be clear-minded and think that Lukaku's celebration, which he always does like that, robs us of an important player.

“The game had been very calm and fair until the 95th minute."
