According to ANSA, despite Udinese's home loss to Milan, the club still backs head coach Kosta Runjaic. However, with the team on a six-game Serie A losing streak, the next two matches will be crucial for his future.
Udinese's management has not issued an ultimatum regarding Runjaic's position and believes the German coach can turn around the team's poor form. However, the two upcoming matches—Wednesday's away trip to Parma and Saturday's home game against Roma—are vital. Runjaic needs positive results to retain his job.
Meanwhile, Udinese has made initial contact with potential replacement candidates should the club decide to change coaches, though no formal negotiations have begun.
Owner Gino Pozzo prefers to keep Runjaic until his contract expires next June, avoiding a mid-season managerial change. However, the team must improve quickly: after 10 Serie A rounds, Udinese has only 4 points, a tally that makes it increasingly difficult for management to delay action.
