In today's print edition, Milanese newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport have looked at some of the most positive statistics relating to Antonio Conte's Inter side in the first half of the 2019/20 Serie A season.

The Nerazzurri can boast the best defensive record across the league at the moment having conceded just 14 goals, two fewer than Lazio and three less than both Juventus and Roma.

Samir Handanovic, who has appeared in 47 of Inter's 48 games this calendar year, has had a large part to play in this and has helped Inter keep seven clean sheets which has taken his total with Inter to 101.

Those in front of him have also helped with shots against very much down on last year's numbers. Inter have conceded 57 shots at this stage of the season compared to 83 at this stage last season.

Inter's attack has also been strong. They have scored the third most goals in the league having found the back of the net 36 times, seven less than top scorers Atalanta. The fact that 54% of Inter's shots this season have ended up on target has certainly helped.

Conte always wants the team to attack and press the opposition high and as a result, offsides against Inter have almost doubled. Last season they had just 23 but are currently sitting on 51.

Moreover, the report adds that Conte's team on average covers more ground than any other team in the league with the team running an average of 112 kilometres between them.
