Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed he spoke with owner John Henry earlier this week after the American attended their game with West Ham on Wednesday.
Henry was in attendance to watch the Reds come back from a goal down to defeat the Hammers 2-1, thanks to Cody Gakpo and Joel Matip.
It was the first time the American businessman - who has been owner of Liverpool since 2010 - has watched Jurgen Klopp's side live in almost 12 months, with the last game he attended being their 9-0 win over Bournemouth last August.
It has been a difficult season at Anfield with the club likely to undergo a significant rebuild in the summer - particularly in midfield with Mason Mount, Matheus Nunes and Nicolo Barella among those linked - as they aim to get back to the heights that saw them come two games away from completing a famous quadruple last season.
Liverpool's owners have come under significant pressure to provide funds to help refresh a squad that has grown tired and at times looked stale this season. The pressure has only increased since they pulled out of a move for Jude Bellingham after baulking at his price tag.
And Klopp revealed he spoke to Henry - who sat next to CEO Billy Hogan at the London Stadium - as the club continues to plan for the summer ahead.
He told reporters: 'We had talks already. We spoke last night in the hotel, we have already had a talk. I knew that he was coming.'
It was an important result for Klopp's side who won their third successive game for just the second time in the league this season.
They now lie in sixth place, just six points behind Man United in fourth, although they have played two games more.
However, there have been positive signs in recent weeks with Trent Alexander-Arnold excelling in a new role in midfield, while Gakpo continues to get better since his January arrival from PSV.
Liverpool should now at least secure some sort of European football for next season as they bring momentum into the summer ahead of the much-anticipated rebuild.

FSG, if you are not willing to properly invest, sell it to someone who are with heart and willing to !
This isn't a football manager game, where you enter a hack code and get a billion pounds, Liverpool doesn't have the kind of money like city or Chelsea or utd nor do we believe in crazy spending. our club believe is like our fanbase, down to earth. FYI the last time we didn't care and just splurged out cash in the transfer market was during the 90s and we were still in mid table.
