Juventus GM Damien Comolli admits they'll be working from season-to-season with new coach Luciano Spalletti.
At today's presentation, Comolli confirmed the decision had been made to secure Spalletti to a contract to the end of the season.
He explained, "Spalletti's contract option is for one season only, so for the 2026-27 season. Everything will depend on our collaboration.
"Did we consider him in the summer? Absolutely not. When I started in June, I had (Igor) Tudor in mind. Then, when we decided to change the manager, I contacted Luciano for the first time. Our first contact was on Monday, and it was a smooth process."
Asked about removing Igor Tudor this week, Comolli explained the reasons.
He said, "The lack of results. We changed Tudor because we wanted to stop this cycle of negative results. We couldn't continue because we wouldn't win anymore, and on Monday we decided to change. Spalletti was the best solution."
