Juventus fans were fooled into thinking the club had signed Matthijs de Ligt after they used an almost identical model on their website.
The Italian side marketed their new home strip online by using a model with the same cropped blond hair and jawline as the Dutchman.
De Ligt is considering his future and Juventus are among the front-runners to capture one of the brightest young talents in world football.

Understandably, fans are desperate for any kind of news and plenty of them were duped by the model online.
Even on further inspection, the similarities are uncanny between the two men.
Usually there would be an official announcement of a player signing but some thought the Juventus website had made a mistake and let slip that De Ligt would be joining.

And De ligt will be making fun of Juventus and we fans.. Please don't discuss De ligt transfer anymore except its done. If De ligt transfer to Juventus is set for a sick person to heal, that person funeral will have hold since a week ago. Am much concern in De ligt rumour than my daily activities and am getting sick of this transfer. If De ligt is not ready then get us De dark or De Electric.
