Juventus goalkeeper Mattia Perin is increasingly close to a Benfica move for approximately €15m, claim Sky Sport Italia.
The shot-stopper is still only 26 and had hoped to climb the ranks at Juve following his €12m transfer last summer.
However, with only nine competitive appearances last season and Gigi Buffon returning as understudy to Wojciech Szczesny, it’s evident the former Genoa man has to leave.
Perin had been reticent to move away from Serie A, but the lack of alternative proposals seems to have swayed him towards accepting Portugal.
FC Porto were also interested, although Benfica are reported to have agreed a €15m deal with Juventus.
It is now up to Perin to decide if he wants to take the position in Portugal or not.

that's unfortunate, he's a good keeper, they should loan and use him for next season

I feel sorry for him he was a beast at Genoa so when Buffon left I was hoping for either him, Oblak or Donnurumma. Luckily we got Perin and since he was so good I would expect him to start and leave szczesny to warm the beach, but it was the other way around. We basically replaced or legendary goalkeeper with a our second option 🤦🏽♂️
