Khedira thanks fans for 'messages & get well wishes' after undergoing surgery

Sami Khedira thanked fans for “messages and get well wishes” after undergoing surgery to correct a heart irregularity.

The German international is expected to be out for roughly a month following the treatment.

“I've had a successful interventional therapy today in the morning with an ablation of an arrhythmogenic atrial focus,” wrote Khedira on Twitter and Instagram.

“Everything went perfectly well and I will be able to get back to work after a short rest. Thank you so much for all your messages and get well wishes!”
