Napoli rallied from 3-0 down at Juventus in a pulsating encounter but were beaten after the Senegal defender scored a 92nd-minute own goal.
Kalidou Koulibaly promised Napoli will respond after the centre-back's stoppage-time own goal handed Juventus victory in a thrilling Serie A clash on Saturday.
"It's an own goal that hurts me because it came after an incredible comeback," he wrote on Instagram.
"I'm sorry but I have to - we have to accept it; we are strong. We showed it. We will prove it."
Koulibaly was turned brilliantly by former team-mate Higuaín, who scored for the first time since returning to Juve from a loan spell at Chelsea last season.
"It was a rollercoaster," Juve striker Higuaín told Sky Sport Italia. "They scored two quick goals, which can't happen. We lost control of the match and they equalised but, in the end, it's ended up like this.
"It's a really important win. We have things to improve, but we left everything out on the pitch and the reward came in the end."
Higuaín has surprisingly won back a place in Juve's plans despite being deemed surplus to requirements last season and sent for a largely disappointing spell under Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge.
The Argentina international insisted he wants nothing more than to stay and prove his worth again in Turin.
"I'm motivated to stay here. I love this shirt, this club, these fans. From the first second I arrived, I was determined to stay," he said.

That one goal doesn't stops the fact that he is the best defender in Italy. Come on, 1 own goal doesn't define his hundreds of amazing games.

The game was absolutely awesome 👏 and Juventus went to sleep after the 3rd goal and that what happens when there isn’t a real coach on the bench . In two weeks Sarri will be back on sit and the more the team plays together the better they get . If you see the Juventus team list , last week and this week, you feel upset at 1st . But when they starts playing, you will notice a lots of difference. Most players have improved alot . De Sciglio for example. That’s shows a work of a great coach. As time passes Juventus will get even more stronger and deadly. Nice game yesterday afternoon to both teams . Congratulations Juventus for winning.

Having one bad game doesn’t mean he’s a bad defender it happens every now and then .. top defenders have scored own goals .. what this man needs is encouragement and i just hope football uneducated fans in Italy won’t racially abuse or attack this great black man .. that’s if they haven’t done that already
