Lazaro confesses that Conte played a key role in his move to Inter

Valentino Lazaro has confessed that Antonio Conte played a key role in his move to Inter.

Lazaro completed his transfer to Inter on Monday, and the former Hertha Berlin winger is excited about not only playing for the Nerazzurri but also under a Coach like Conte.

“My first impressions are fantastic,” the 23-year-old told reporters.

“I’m very happy to be here. I hope to do well and have a bright future with this club.

“I didn’t think all this would be waiting for me, I’ve received so many messages. I’m very happy with all this affection.

“I’m excited and happy to be able to test myself in the Italian League with the Inter shirt.

“I talked to Conte recently. He told me exactly what he expected of me and from me.

“He was one of the reasons why I chose to come to Inter. I think I can learn so much from him.

“I’ll do everything to repay his faith. I’m delighted to be a part of a great club like Inter. I can’t wait to start the new season.”
