Lega Serie A has rejected a proposal put forth by Italy’s Minister of Sport Vincenzo Spadafora to air the postponed Serie A games, including the Derby d’Italia, for free.
La Repubblica state that the league has rejected Spadafora’s proposal outright, which was suggested by the Minister of Sport yesterday.
The Rome daily also suggests that even Sky Sport Italia and the Italian Football Federation were on board with Spadafora’s proposal, stating that the games could be shown on TV8, a terrestrial channel in Italy.
However the Lega has shot down the idea, and the games will remain exclusively behind Sky and DAZN's paywall.
Sky and DAZN pay a combined €937m per season for the Serie A TV rights, with their current contract running until the end of the 2020-21 season.

Better reject ooh. the postpone is more than heart attack but if it's because of corona, then let it even be written as ads and sent viral on media. Because we love our footballers

I would do the same. U just have to make money, no matter what.
sky, who own the broadcasting rights had allowed it. i am baffled why serie A rejected the offer. as that time sky is already broadcasting something else. that would mean no games would be telecasted now.
