Lippi: Vidal would be a great purchase for Conte, he'd be an immediate guarantee

In an interview with Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Marcello Lippi has spoken on Inter's pursuit of Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal.

“Vidal would be a huge purchase for Conte. He would be an immediate guarantee. Inter needs him in the middle of the park for his strength and experience,” he began.

He also shared his views on Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi who looks set to make a return to action in Inter's next match against Napoli having recovered from injury.

“He is an enchanting player, he is a player that is out of the ordinary. It does not matter that he is five centimetres shorter than everyone else.”

Lippi, who recently left his post as manager of the Chinese national team then spoke on the Serie A title race.

“The last few matches and the Super Cup have shown us that Lazio and Roma are there and that they can play on a par for the Scudetto. It will be a four way fight until the end of the season.”
