Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has tipped Leeds United's Ilan Meslier as among prospects capable of replacing him with France.
Lloris announced his international retirement yesterday.
He said, "It's time for the others to take their chance, and we know that Mike (Maignan, AC Milan) is destined to take over. I only wish him well, to him and to the other keepers who will appear.
"There is Mike, and others who deserve: Alphonse (Areola, West Ham) is there, Steve (Mandanda, Rennes) too, and others, Alban Lafont (Nantes), Illan Meslier, and later, Lucas Chevalier (Lille), perhaps.
"I will follow it closely and with passion, because I like the position, and because I want the France team to remain at the top of the world hierarchy, which requires efficient goalkeepers."

I didn't knw the Leeds goalie is French. He is definitely destined French #1. But for now Ac Milan goalie is perfect fit.
