Both Manuel Akanji and Ederson departed Manchester City on Deadline Day, the club have confirmed.
Having made 372 appearances for the Sky Blues over an eight-year period, Ederson has completed a permanent move to Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray in a deal worth £12.1million.
Meanwhile Akanji, who signed for Pep Guardiola's side in 2022 from Borussia Dortmund, joins Inter Milan on a season-long loan with an option to make the deal permanent for £12.97m, according to The Athletic.
Following confirmation of his exit on Thursday, Ederson paid a heartfelt goodbye to Man City in a statement. He leaves the club having won six Premier League titles, one Champions League, two FA Cups and four League Cups.
'I leave Manchester City incredibly proud of what we have achieved together, I am honoured to have worn the shirt so many times,' his statement read.
'Under Pep, we have won dominated the Premier League and conquered Europe. It has been amazing. I would first of all like to thank him and Xabier Mancisidor for making me the best goalkeeper I could be and teaching so much about the game.
'I must also thank my team-mates. Our desire to win every game we play has been a joy to be a part of and that has made me relish every day on the training field or in the dressing room with every one of you.
'Finally, the fans. Thank you for making me feel at home in a city so far away from where I am from and for supporting me throughout what has been an amazing period for me and my family.
'I arrived in Manchester eight years ago full of hope, but I could not have predicted such a beautiful time together. Playing for City has been the most special time of my life and I will always be a fan of this special club. I'm going with my wife and children, but I'm leaving a big family here, Cityzens. Once a Blue, always a Blue.'
The Brazilian's departure comes after Guardiola overhauled his goalkeeping ranks with the additions of James Trafford and later Gianluigi Donnnarumma, who signed on Deadline Day.
Trafford, who left City just a couple of years ago to join Burnley, rejoined the club in a £19m deal earlier in the summer but has looked a tad shaky in his first three Premier League games of the season.
He will now likely lose his place as No 1 to Donnarumma, 25, a four-time Ligue 1 champion and one-time Champions League winner, who also played in goal for the Italian side who beat England in the Euro 2020 final.
City believe his experience at the top level, coupled with his age, makes him a long-term successor to Ederson and a crucial part of their bid to reclaim the Premier League and challenge in Europe.
The Italian's debut may come in the Sky Blues' next Premier League game against Manchester United in the derby at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday September 14.
