Man City 'set to rival' Manchester United for Alessandro Bastoni and more transfer rumours

Manchester City are reportedly set to gatecrash Manchester United's attempts to sign Italy international Alessandro Bastoni.

The centre-back has plenty of admirers across Europe following some impressive displays for Inter Milan over the past few years. He is a regular for Inter and has 15 caps for Italy, making one appearance for Roberto Mancini's victorious side at Euro 2020.

Now, his future has come under the spotlight and although United and Tottenham are both said to be interested, Gazzetta dello Sport claim City are also in the hunt for his signature. Bastoni is said to be valued at around the £50million mark by the Nerazzurri.

Elsewhere, City's midfield enforcer Rodri is said to be attracting admiring glances from Barcelona.

A report by Fichajes says that the Spanish giants are looking at potential replacements for Sergio Busquets, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

The veteran is reportedly interested in a move to the United States, which would leave a gaping hole in the engine room at the Nou Camp. Fichajes say Rodri would fit the bill although they estimate that City value him at around the £89m mark.
