Alejandro Garnacho was the subject of a bid from Napoli during the January transfer window and the Italian champions are back in for the Manchester United star after his fallout with Ruben Amorim
Alejandro Garnacho could be handed an escape from Manchester United by Napoli - who want to land him on the cheap. The Serie A side failed with a £60million bid for Garnacho in January, but are back in for the winger and are hoping to finally get him for £45m.
United are desperate to get rid of Garnacho in the wake of his bust-up with Old Trafford boss Ruben Amorim. The 20-year-old is one of five United players told by Amorim to stay away from pre-season training after they requested to leave.
Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia will train away from the main United squad until their futures are resolved. United value Garnacho at £60m, but know they will not get that fee, given his public falling-out with Amorim and the club's desire to offload him.
It is understood United remain in negotiations with Napoli, in the hope of striking a deal with the Italian champions over Garnacho. Napoli want Garnacho to link up with former Manchester City superstar Kevin De Bruyne, who joined them on a free transfer earlier this summer, and former United midfielder Scott McTominay, voted Serie A Player of the Season last term.
And Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis reckons Garnacho will become an even better player once he leaves United. "Garnacho's got pace, flair and potential," said the Napoli chief.
"But that's not even why we want him. We want him because he's at United. Get him out and he becomes twice the player. There's a fault at United that I can't explain"
Garnacho fell out with Amorim after being left out of United's starting line-up for the Europa League final defeat against Tottenham in Bilbao. The Argentina star publicly questioned Amorim's decision in the wake of United's 1-0 defeat and said he would assess his future over the summer.
Should Manchester United sell Alejandro Garnacho to Napoli for £45million? Have your say in the comments section.
"Obviously it's hard for everyone," a clearly disgruntled Garnacho told reporters. "Our season was s***. We didn't beat anyone in the league. We lacked a lot of things. When you don't score goals, you always need more.
"Until we reached the final, I played every round. And I played 20 minutes today - I don't know. I'm going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens next."

🚨 One Of The BEST Things Sir Alex Ferguson Ever Did Wasn’t Just WIN — It Was How He Treated His Players Like His Own SONS. He knew when to scold and when to shield. When to discipline and when to put an arm around your shoulder. That’s how he built warriors with loyalty, not just tactics. And that’s exactly what Rúben Amorim needs to channel with Alejandro Garnacho right now. You don’t push away a young star who clearly has raw passion and world-class potential. You bring him closer. Sit him down. Speak heart to heart. Not like a dictator, but like a mentor. Like a father. Garnacho needs guidance, not exile. He’s 21. He’ll make mistakes. But if Amorim gets this right, if he earns the kid’s trust and builds that connection, Manchester United won’t just save a talent, they’ll unlock something even bigger. Discipline With LOVE. Structure With Empathy. That’s How You Build A Legacy, Not Just A Team. This IS ME Just Thinking Out LOUD Without Any Bias. ❤️✌️

Garnacho is a very Valuable player, don't let him leave. give him some chance he'll prove that he is valuable. in every team or Clubs we always find that misunderstanding between Players & Managers but sought it out, let's not show attitude. that's what a team for.

All of these Man utd players are not good enough for Mr Amorim? Are you sure? I think there is a main problem which is inside the club which we as the club fans doesn't know. But you Mr Ruben you're the one of those problems also. Because now you're not building the team, but you're destroying the club by separating the players why as you call yourself Mr good not helping these players to be good as you want them to be? mmmm???? Soon, we will hear about the story about sacking you mr. You'll be the first coach to be sacked these season.... Watch out.....
Problems started with Ten hag period 💯

Garnacho has great potential and donot know the reality happening behind the scene. He said the truth and when the truth is revealed, why the club and management is against him. If he leaves, sure he will double and united's current valuation for him is no where near. United should settle the case and let this man grow like Cr7.

I also fail to understand why he can't manage the players in terms of behavior garnacho is a boy he can manage to control. This same player will go and shine where his going and become a 80m buy next season.

amorim can't meet the expectations of the fans and the club and he will get the sack. he will quickly get the sack if he does not perform well at the beginning of the season

Reuben doesn't play wingers in his games. Garnacho, Anthony, Rashford, Sancho and Malacia (wing back but not good enough) are all wingers. So it is easy for him as a coach to do away with these players. Yes, there is a fundamental problem at Manchester United, the falling out between the coaches and players. When the coaches talk down on players publicly, it kills the morale and whoever is covering the event at United's training ground should be sacked or stopped from coming there, the coach can have a conversation with players during training, some of these conversations are serious conversations on how to improve, the media will blow it out of proportion, and then, once it becomes public knowledge, it will begin to affect the psychology of the player... By doing so, the player's worth begins to go down, and there is a decline in his market value. Imagine Amorim saying in public that he would play his goalkeeper coach before he plays Rashford, and the media reporting that he told Garnacho to find another club. NO, as a coach you won't say that, call the player aside, have a pet talk with him, so you don't castigate the player in front of the media and other players, build his self-worth and not destroy it. In many of those big clubs, you don't get to hear coaches saying unprintable things about their players. You are killing football and you are also killing the business angle of it. You go to the other clubs, buy expensive players but when it comes to your players, other clubs buy them for peanuts 🥜 Imagine Garnacho, Rashford, Sancho and Anthony, all looking for a club that will buy them with less funds, In fact buying Manchester United players is an afterthought for most clubs. They are not marketable and the club must find a way to make them marketable. Giving Rashford 325,000 pounds a week is crazy. Same with Sancho and Anthony, their weekly wages are astronomical. So they don't have anything to worry about. They attend to party with the money and come to training any time they like, When some of them come to training they don't give their all. The club must find a middle ground and make sure that the players are feeling loved to give their best on the pitch

Perfect words about Manchester United from the Napoli President - No one knows the problem at the club! This put Amorin between the rock and a hard place in his preparations for the new season. I for one as a fan of the club, have my target of at least 8 wins and no loss (min) in the first 10 opening fixtures of the season. And that should be the bench-mark of performance for the remaining three quarters of the season. The truth is that even with the existing players, someone else could axe out tons of successes!

Bro playing for a big club you must be on pressure, it's not Man utd only where players are put on pressure by fans but Even Real Madrid, Barcelona and Man city you must show your best. Bro Man utd is not Arsenal or Chelsea where a forward takes 10 games without scoring and fans keep quiet.

West Ham sold Kudus for 55m and United selling Garnacho for 45m United board are making a big mistake
This guy doesn't want wingers in his squad because his stupid formation (3-4-2-1) doesn't need wingers it's only for midfielders and just know Rasmus Hojlund isn't leaving and is not on pressure b'se is not a winger. Antony, Rashford, Sancho and Garnacho are all wingers.
