Man Utd's new £37m teen Amad Diallo takes part in first training session

Amad Diallo took part in his first training session for Manchester United as the Premier League table-toppers continued their preparation for the clash against Liverpool on Sunday.

United's new signing, who actually completed his £37m move in October but remained at Atalanta for a few more months on loan, played alongside his new team-mates at Carrington on Friday morning.

In photos alongside striker and fellow teenager Mason Greenwood, United tweeted: 'Great to see you settling in, Amad Diallo' as the squad prepared for their biggest match of the season against champions Liverpool on Sunday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are looking to stretch their lead at the top to six points with a victory at Anfield, which they haven't managed since 2016.

Ten wins in their last 12 league games has seen United storm up the table, while Liverpool have not won in their last three Premier League matches.

Meanwhile Diallo, who was given the No 19 shirt, spoke this week about how much he is now raring to go at his new club.

'After waiting since the summer, it is finally a dream come true to complete my move to Manchester United,' said Diallo last week.

'I am hugely ambitious and there is so much that I want to achieve in the game; when I spoke to the manager I knew that I had joined the perfect club.

'This is a really exciting squad with so many great players, I can promise that I will work hard every day to learn from them and give everything to develop my game.

'The coaches have been fantastic since I signed, we have been in touch regularly and they have already given me a lot of great advice.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hinted that Diallo will train with United's first-team squad but it is far from certain that he will make his debut in English football anytime soon and is unlikely to feature on Sunday.

'As a club, we have followed Amad for a number of years and having watched him myself, I believe he is one of the most exciting young prospects in the game,' said Solskjaer.

'Manchester United has such a proud history of developing young players and everything is in place to enable Amad to reach his potential here.

'It's important we give him that time to settle in, if it's in the Under 23s or if he looks ready to go into the first team, I don't know yet.'
