Manchester United's attempts to reduce Rasmus Hojlund's £86million price tag with a players-plus-cash offer has been rebuffed by Atalanta, a new report claims.
Hojlund, 20, is widely seen as one of the most promising young players in Europe and United are said to have made him their No 1 striker target this summer.
But United do have budget constraints to work with and having already spent £60m of their £120m on Mason Mount, Erik ten Hag and United's bosses have reportedly offered up players as part of the package to Atalanta.
The Athletic report that Atalanta have rejected it out of hand and have made it plain to United that they want a cash-only deal, if Hojlund, who scored 10 goals in 34 appearances for the Italian side last season, departs.

Manchester united is very stupid club nowadays....how come you want to pay over 90m for some random atalanta kid who has not even established himself even in that Serie A while at the same time you have Mason Greenwood who already know the Premier league very well Some lunatics will come here and tell me he had some charges against women Stop the fuxcck up, there is no Human being who is perfect in the damnn World Let the kid comeback and join the team instead of focusing on that hojund i don't even know how many goals he scored in Seria A, use that money to buy another important targets in different position like Centre Back and Midfield United board is useless🚮🚮🚮
