Roberto Mancini was best known for his time at Sampdoria, where he played more than 550 matches. In terms of his international career, he made his international senior squad debut at the age of 19 on 26 May 1984. And Mancini's international career ended after a dispute with national team coach and fierce competition with other creative forwards for places at the 1994 World Cup. On 14 May 2018, it was announced that Mancini signed as manager of the Italy national team. He has now been coaching Italy for one and a half years.
