Sky Italia says at the final whistle the Austria international threw a water bottle at the bench, then stormed off while kicking various advertising boards in his path.
Arnautovic was also left on the bench for the 1-0 defeat to Torino.
The Austrian remains their top scorer with eight Serie A goals in 15 games this season.
