Blaise Matuidi praised Juventus Coach Max Allegri for his man-management skills, Cristiano Ronaldo’s work ethic and explained his goal celebration.
The Bianconeri are 18 points clear at the top of the Serie A table and will face Ajax in the Champions League quarter-finals after overturning a 2-0 deficit against Atletico Madrid.
“Every Coach has his philosophy and Allegri has his,” the World Cup winner told DAZN Italia.
“He is really good at the man-management part of the job, dealing with the players as men, but also very strong on a tactical level.
“We know Juventus have a dressing room packed with top players and Allegri is able to handle all of them. When you know how to handle champions, it means you are a great Coach.”
The squad was bolstered this season by Cristiano Ronaldo, whose hat-trick crushed Atletico Madrid this week.
“We are happy with what he’s doing, we enjoy playing with him and hope he can continue like this,” added Matuidi.
“He put in an incredible performance against Atletico, but I think he really shows how exceptional he is in his daily training. It surprises me every day, because he works harder than anyone, and I think that makes the difference.
“At the end of the day, it makes you think he worked his way to the top.”
Matuidi has a particular goal celebration and explained where it comes from.
“It is the emblem of those who grew up with nothing. When I played in France, there was a singer who made this celebration famous and made this movement in the video that also referenced my name in the lyric, Matuidi Charo. Charognard means vulture, a creature who never gives in, and I think that’s a similar image to my football.
“From that moment on, I started celebrating that way and the kids like to copy. My son adores it too, so I keep it going for him.”

Ronaldo is a machine. Allegri is a great manager and the world witnessed his greatness and tactical intelligence. As said by Matuidi, Ronaldo made his way to the top, thats why I admire this Legend!!

I'm a Messi fan. I was wrong about this guy. Not better than Messi. Not as a dribbler anyway. However across three leagues the man has proved me wrong. One of the all time greats. No doubt now.

What amazes me the most is that CR7 does this at 34! Some others would retire or be utterly useless to their clubs at that age! Congratulations! BIG BIG HEART Cristiano!

This isn't something to think about. While wouldn't enjoy playing with the GOAT. The man who delivers at the crucial moments and wins games and makes you advance, of course you like playing with him. Not many people get the opportunity to play alongside the GOAT when you do just enjoy it and watch him perform miracles so you tell your kids and grandkids that you were in the stadium when cristiano did this and that

Greatest difference is Cr7 carried Portugal to Euro finals and they won it. While Messi in spite of playing in relatively. Easier coppa america where u have Argentina or Brazil reaching final every year , cant win. Messi is super over rated . He was sucessfull with Barcelona bcoz he played alongwith with the Golden Generation of Spain that won everything. That team alone provided 6 players to Spanish national team . Cr7 has been a top scorer in Euro 2012, finished second in 2016 ..has played world cup semis in 2006 ..while Messi has lost 3 times against Germany (06,10,14) yes in 06 he did not play. On any scale Cr7 is better . He has a Euro & 5 UCL only a world cup is considered bigger then those tournaments. Messi cant even win Coppa America where competion is low as u have to only win Semi & finals .
