Mbappe is an injury doubt for PSG ahead of Real Madrid clash

Kylian Mbappe picked up a knock during Paris Saint-Germain's training session on Monday and is now doubtful for the Champions League last-16 second leg against Real Madrid on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old stood out in the first leg of the last-16 tie between the two teams and netted a stoppage-time winner to hand PSG a 1-0 victory at the Parc des Princes.

Mbappe injury

According to Le Parisien, Mbappe will undergo more scans in the next 48 hours to determine the extent of the injury ahead of the crucial match at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, but PSG have ruled out a possible fracture.

Taking into account the importance of the game in the Spanish capital, Mbappe is expected to feature against Real Madrid, but PSG are concerned as his potential absence could be a noticeable blow for the French side.

Real Madrid made an offer to acquire Mbappe's services last summer, but PSG were not willing to cash in on the forward, whose contract expires on June 30.
