Memphis: I will never regret signing for Barcelona

Despite the difficult period Barcelona find themselves in, on and off the pitch, Memphis Depay does not regret joining the Catalans.

The Dutch winger has had a mixed start to life with the Blaugrana, having begun brightly before fading in recent weeks, yet he is still delighted at having joined from Lyon.

"How can you ask me this? It's Barcelona," he responded in an interview with ESPN NL after being asked whether he regretted his switch.

"You know the greatness of the club and what it means for a player to go to a team like this.

"I'll never regret it."

Depay arrived upon the direct request of coach Ronald Koeman, and the forward is confident that the team can overcome the tough spot they find themselves in.

"We know the situation at Barcelona," he said.

"Everyone panics because people are not used to this.

"They are used to winning and playing great football. But I'm not worried and I'm sure things will change."
