Dries Mertens has knocked back the advances of German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.
The Napoli attacker has drawn links to a host of clubs lately, due to the fact his contract with the Stadio San Paolo is due to expire at the end of the current season.
Dortmund did not wish to wait until the Summer and enquired about a permanent move in January but the 32-year-old Belgian simply told them he had no interest.
Napoli are understood to have tabled him a two year contract extension with a €4 million annual salary but the player is understood to remain sceptical about the idea of extending his deal therefore the former PSV Eindhoven man's future is right up in the air at the moment.
This season he has made 22 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored nine goals and given four assists.

Thuram and Haaland are both one season wonders yet... we fail to get the best out of our signings coz we mostly chase one wonders and when they fail under pressure then we wonder what went wrong... instead of Hazard we should have signed Hakim Ziyech and instead of Haaland and Thuram we should sign Wout Weghorst... next season Hakimi will be leaving as well.

Hazard is good but not great... we have way too many options for wings and I would rather like to have a proper striker than another mediocre winger in the team.
