Pictures of a Lionel Messi waxwork at the Barcelona Wax Museum have gone viral on social media, with many people debating just how much it looks like the Argentine forward.

The Barcelona Wax Museum has reopened its doors after extensive renovation works in recent months, and they have done so with figures of superstars in sport, which they will hope will be an incentive for people to visit.

Messi is the star of the museum, but there are also waxworks of Marc Marquez, Pau Gasol, Michael Jordan, Fernando Alonso and Serena Williams. Soon, there will be one of Rafa Nadal.

The Barcelona captain will return to action this weekend away to Cadiz, having been rested for the Blaugrana's comfortable 3-0 win away at Ferencvaros in midweek.
