Lionel Messi has revealed that he is in a WhatsApp group with his former Barcelona team-mates Neymar and Luis Suarez.

The trio, who were collectively referred to as 'MSN', produced some excellent performances together between 2014 and 2017.

During that time Barcelona won the Champions League in 2015 as well as two LaLiga titles and three Copa del Reys.

There have been suggestions that Messi could be reunited with Neymar at Paris Saint-Germain.

Messi told LaSexta: 'Neymar should be asked why he said we were going to play together.

'We have a WhatsApp group with him and Luis Suarez.'

Messi revealed that his last message with Neymar focused on the Champions League draw, with the pair set to face each other when Barcelona take on PSG>

He said: 'The last message with Neymar was about the Champions League draw. I did not want to face him now.'

Messi was referring to comments from Neymar, who recently said that he wanted to play alongside the Argentina star again.

Neymar told ESPN: "What I want most is to play with [Messi] again, to be able to enjoy being on the pitch with him again. He could play in my place. He won't have any problems, I'm sure. I want to play with him again and I'm sure that, next season, we have to do it."

Messi, Neymar and Suarez made a total of 450 appearances between them when they were all at Barcelona, scoring 364 goals in total.

The trio were broken up when Neymar left for PSG in 2017, with Suarez staying at Barcelona until last summer, when he joined Atletico Madrid.

There remains much uncertainty regarding Messi's future at Barcelona, with his contract set to expire next summer.
