Since joining Paris Saint-Germain back on August 10, Lionel Messi has scored more times for Argentina than with his new team following his departure from Barcelona.
The Argentine forward has netted three times in eight duels with PSG so far this season and he has yet to find the back of the net in Ligue 1, as all his goals have been scored in the Champions League.
Meanwhile, Messi has netted four goals in the five 2022 World Cup Qualifiers where he has featured for Argentina since August.
Back on October 29, the PSG star was replaced at half time in his team's game with Lille which increased concerns at the club about his fitness, as the last time he was unable to play the full 90 minutes of a match was back on September 24, 2019, in Barcelona's duel with Villarreal at the Camp Nou.
From there, Messi missed PSG's Champions League game with RB Leipzig and their Ligue 1 match with Bordeaux due to hamstring discomfort as reported by the club.
Aiming at 2022 World Cup participation
Messi's commitment to Argentina is undeniable and the 34-year-old forward's main objective is to captain the Albiceleste in Qatar in pursuit of World Cup success.
In fact, the discomfort that forced him to miss out on a couple of PSG matches came from a Luis Martinez challenge on while with Argentina in the qualifier against Venezuela back on September 3.
Argentina are set to host Uruguay on Friday and Messi is expected to return to action after recovering from injury. Depending on how the game unfolds, coach Lionel Scaloni could rest him ahead of the important duel with Brazil next Tuesday.
Following the international break, PSG will be hosted by Pep Guardiola's Manchester City on November 24 in a game that will decide which team will top Champions League Group A.

According to your logic Messi left Barca in ruins and at the verge of Bankruptcy. His presence in Barça lead to 6 humiliations in a row in Europa.
