Milan are ready to pounce if Real Madrid decide to sell Luka Modric this summer, claim Sky Sport Italia.
The Ballon d’Or winner only has a contract until the end of this season and the Spanish giants are no longer that eager to keep hold of him.
According to Sky transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, agent Vlado Lemic was at Milan’s offices today to discuss the situation and act as intermediary.
Modric turns 34 in September and would be seen as a marquee signing for the Rossoneri, who were excluded from the Europa League after reaching a Financial Fair Play agreement with UEFA.
He would also be working with Croatia legend Zvonimir Boban in his new directorial role with Milan.
The main sticking point would be his salary, which is currently €12.5m per year including performance-related bonuses, so this would need to be reduced significantly.
Milan have always had a very strong rapport with Real Madrid over the years, including this summer’s Theo Hernandez swoop.

If Milan are ready to buy Modric. Why we can't ready to buy Eriksen before deciding to sell a fantastic midfielder and forget about another fantastic replacement.

People need to understand no player is bigger than the club, I think Madrid made that very clear when they sold Cr7... I believe modric should be sold for Eriksen, it will happen sooner if or later, why not sooner?!
