Ruud Gullit, former AC Milan and Holland man, spoke in the studios of BeIn Sports about Cristiano Ronaldo and where the Portuguese player stands among the best players in the world.
'Is Ronaldo the best player of all time? I think so.' Says Gullit.
'He has won with his national team, the EURO. He won wherever he went, in three different countries. Five times the Ballon d'Or'. People continue to compare him to someone but he has won wherever he went, it's unbelievable.'

Messi didn't even go near winning something with Argentina ?? Are u kidding me ? were u sleeping during 2014 world cup and during 2015and 2016 copa Americas ?? Not only that he also won best player award in two of those 3 competitions .No offence but winning or not winning a trophy with national team should not be a reason to consider someone a better player then someone .

Messi has never come close to wining something with Argentina? hmmmm, 3 finals and you say close to nothing? maybe he has a different meaning for nothing. How do you compare these two greats instead of enjoying them both. To compare CR7 and may Messi put a lot of things into proper perspective. We compare players without bringing a lot to the table. Age difference, no.of appearance in a particular competition, goal/appearance ratio, heat maps, contribution in a build up to goal, physical stature, entertainment, etc. How do we argue like that?

Did ronaldo played in euro finals . Was ronaldo was the player of the tournaments in euro . Did ronaldo won any player of the tournaments . Who helped Argentina to reach 3 finals and who was the player of the tournament in that tournaments. Both of the them are great players . both messi and ronaldo has done everything to Argentina and Portugal. Messi is currently best that does not implies ronaldo is bad . With his age playing for JUVENTES and helping them for UCl victories are fabulous .Those who complain messi for not winning any international trophies for Argentina are just haters . what if Higuain was not there and Aguero or icardi in place of him Argentina could win three trophies .

I don't understand why Ronaldo those who like Ronaldo have only one argument against Messi. Did Messi never play against Italian teams in Italy and never scored against them here? Did Messi never play against England teams and never scored against them there? -Germany? -Holland? -France? Etc... Now let me reply to you: ALL THAT LEAGUES ARE TOO SMALL FOR MESSI. If you can prove that Messi never scored against teams in those countries, then I will agree. Spain teams are the ones who are winning more champions League.
