According to Corriere dello Sport, Pulisic's future at Milan remains uncertain.
Pulisic is ready for his World Cup debut. The countdown has begun, and the real test is approaching, with his match against Paraguay on June 13. The American forward has been waiting for this moment for many months, which likely also affected his performance in the latter half of the season at Milan.
In fact, Pulisic has not been as decisive in recent months as he was in the first half of the season. He hasn't scored a goal since the match against Verona on December 28 last year. However, Pulisic's future at Milan remains very uncertain. On one hand, American owner Gerry Cardinale has given instructions to keep him, which also concerns the club's image; on the other hand, the player has not yet agreed to a contract extension and has asked his agent to evaluate all financial offers received after the World Cup.
After an extremely difficult six months, Pulisic hopes to use the home World Cup to boost his personal image and attract overseas attention again. This is a dangerous situation for Milan, as the club has failed to persuade the player to renew his contract in recent weeks. Due to a series of reasons, including the player demanding an annual salary of over 5 million euros, no further progress has been made, and contract negotiations stalled months ago.
Pulisic's contract is not expiring soon. In addition to his current contract having one year left, expiring on June 30, 2027, Milan also has a unilateral clause that can extend the contract for another season until 2028 without waiting for the player's consent.
