Jose Mourinho's outburst during Roma's 2-2 draw with Verona, could lead to a three-match ban for the prolific coach.
Mourinho accused referee Luca Pairetto of being sent by Juventus after he was sent off during stoppage time.
"They sent you on purpose," Mourinho allegedly said. "Juve [Juventus] sent you"
He also kicked the ball away and appeared to make a telephone gesture at the referee, in reference to the his father Pierluigi, who was the Italian vice chairman of UEFA referees committee during the 2006 match fixing scandal.
Mourinho wanted to speak to the referee but was held back by goalkeeping coach Nuno Santos, so he hugged Verona coach Igor Tudor and headed to the tunnel.
If the 59-year-old is suspended for his alleged multiple offences, he will miss Roma's games against Spezia Calcio, Atalanta and Udinese, as the Giallorossi lie in eighth place in Serie A, six points away from a Champions League spot.
