Napoli maintained their 100 per cent record by beating Ajax for the second time in eight days and booked their place in the last 16 of the Champions League.
The Serie A leaders raced into a two-goal lead inside 16 minutes through Hirving Lozano and Giacomo Raspadori.
Davy Klaassen reduced the deficit with a header just after half-time but the threat of a comeback was extinguished by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scoring from the spot in the 62nd minute.
Steven Bergwijn scored a late penalty for Ajax before Victor Osimhen sealed victory late on.
