Napoli are keeping tabs on Kobbie Mainoo who is currently an outcast under Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim.

Aston Villa, Newcastle and Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are reportedly interested in the England international, who has been cast aside by Amorim since the start of the campaign.

However, as reported by Sky Sports Switzerland, Napoli are in contact with Mainoo's representatives and could look to make a loan bid when the window re-opens in January.

The report states that the Serie A giants are hoping to “continue his progression in a competitive environment” as they aim to hand him more game time in what is a title chasing side under manager Antonio Conte.

Napoli already have Rasmus Hojlund on loan from The Red Devils and former United midfielder Scott McTominay on the books, who lifted the league title with the Italian side last season.

Mainoo has only played 200 minutes across all competitions this season, making four Premier League appearances as a substitute. Reports suggest he will ask to leave if game time does not improve, and Napoli would be the perfect destination for him if he is to depart.
