M’Baye Niang posted an image of the Genoa seafront with an Italian flag, fuelling reports the Stade Rennais striker is set to join Genoa.
It would be a return to both Serie A and the Grifone, as he played on loan from Milan from January to June 2015.
Since then, Niang has gone on to Watford, Torino and joined Rennes in the summer of 2019 for €15m.
Multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia see Niang as the first choice to come in should Gianluca Scamacca leave Genoa in January.
The 26-year-old Senegal international seemed to confirm as much on his Instagram Stories, posting an Italian flag, a heart and an image of the Genoa seafront.
