For the first time in his career, Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos has gone all 12 months of a calendar year without being sent off once.
Sergio Ramos made his senior debut back in February 2004, and for the first time since that maiden appearance for boyhood club Sevilla, the Real Madrid and Spain captain has managed to play a full calendar year of club football without being shown a red card.
Since being sent off for the first time in his career in September 2005, soon after moving from Seville to Madrid, Ramos has been dimissed on a total of 24 occasions in the white shirt - with his total of 19 LaLiga reds making him the Spanish top flight's most-dismissed player ever.
Ramos' last red card came in December 2017
But so far this season, the defender has played 24 games for Madrid - 16 in LaLiga, four in the Champions League, two in the Club World Cup, one in the Copa del Rey and one in the UEFA Super Cup - and has picked up five yellows, but hasn't been given his marching orders once.
Last term, meanwhile, Ramos' 42 appearances in all competitions saw him twice sent off for two bookable offences, but the dismissals both came in 2017 - in LaLiga clashes with Deportivo La Coruña in August and Athletic Bilbao in December.
Never sent off in well over a century of games for Spain
Curiously, Ramos has not been shown a single red card in his 161 caps for the Spanish national team.

Presenter: And the Ballon d'or goes to Sergio Ramos for having 0 red cards in 2018. Perez: The real Sergio Ramos died, so we made a clone, the clone however is not complete, but will complete it in 2019, we will add the RED CARD genes to his DNA next year.

You say anything against Madrid, but when it comes supremacy no team can beat our records. in and outside Spain. So whether receive card or not that is not our primary concern. Our captain is a warrior who fears no opponents. He plays every like a captain, this is why he's a captain for club and country. Put all your unscrupulous defenders together, he surpasses them both in market value and on the pitch.Van Dijk nearly broke one of Napoli players leg and he was not even warned,no yellow or red cards bcuz both linesmen and referees were not convinced. you sit there idly and discussed RAMOS in a negative manner....HALA MADRID BURN ENEMIES
