OFFICIAL: AC Milan Striker Lorenzo Colombo joins Empoli on loan

Empoli Football Club announces that it has reached an agreement with the Milan Football Association for the temporary acquisition, with right of redemption, of the sporting performances of the footballer Lorenzo Colombo.

Lorenzo Colombo is an Italian striker born in Vimercate on 8 March 2002. Raised in Milan's youth sector, it was with the Rossoneri that he made his professional debut at the age of 18, in the semi-final of the Italian Cup with Juventus. A month later, Lorenzo made his Serie A debut in the match against Bologna. 

In the first part of the following season he also arrived in Europe for the first time: Colombo started from the first minute and scored in the Europa League preliminary round in the victory against Bodo Glimt. In January 2021 he moved to Cremonese and in July to Spal, where he made 34 appearances, 6 goals and one assist in Serie B. In the 2022-23 season Lorenzo joined Lecce, contributing to the Salento team's salvation in Serie A with 5 goals, including the decisive one in the match against Monza. In the last championship Colombo made 25 appearances and 4 goals with the Monza shirt. In the national team, Colombo boasts 20 matches with the Under 21s, including 4 at the European Championship in June last year.
