Ante Rebić is Hajduk's new starting 9!
Club Statement:
Ante Rebić is Hajduk's new starting nine! One of the best Croatian strikers in the last decade has signed a contract with the Club until the summer of 2026 and will immediately join the first team's training sessions.
Rebić took his first steps in football in the Imotski region, where his family comes from, specifically in Vinjani and the Imotski football club, where he honed his skills before moving to RNK Split at the age of 16. He played two seasons at the Park Mladeži club, in which he played over 50 official matches and scored 16 goals, establishing himself as one of the most dangerous strikers in the league.
This led to a transfer to Italian club Fiorentina, then his football journey took him to German club RB Leipzig, then back to Italy to join Verona. Since 2016, he has been a member of German club Eintracht, for whom he played very successfully until 2020. He played exactly 100 times for the German club and scored 25 goals.
During this period, he became a permanent member of the Croatian national team, with which he won the historic silver medal at the 2018 World Cup in Russia. At that tournament, he was one of the best players on the team, and his fantastic goal in the victory against Argentina remains in the collective memory. He played a total of 42 times for Croatia, scoring 3 goals.
In September 2019, he returned to Italy, where he will play for the giants Milan until 2023. He played 123 official matches for AC Milan. He scored 29 goals and provided 17 assists. In the last two years, Rebić played for the Turkish Besiktas and the Italian Lecce, for whom he played 28 official matches in the last season.
Reba, welcome to Hajduk. We wish you lots of luck, success, good performances and a handful of goals in the white jersey!
