Manchester United have confirmed that they have terminated Zlatan Ibrahimovic's contract with immediate effect, leaving the veteran striker as a free agent.
The former Paris Saint-Germain, Milan and Barcelona star had joined the Red Devils in 2016, and impressed in his debut season at Old Trafford with 28 goals in 46 games.
Zlatan, however, suffered a serious knee injury in April 2017 that cut his campaign short, and despite making a return this season the forward was far from his best after an eight-month lay-off.
Now United have announced that a one-year deal signed back in August has been cut short, meaning Zlatan is free to seek another club.
"Manchester United confirms that it has agreed to the termination of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract with immediate effect," the club explained in a statement published on Thursday.
"Everyone at the club would like to thank Zlatan for his contribution to the team since his arrival and wishes him well for the future."

I mentioned when Ibra resigned for Man U, Ibra should never ever sign for Man U again since Man U released him after the heavy injury and signed Lukaka. It was cristal clear that Ibra's era was over in Man U. Ibra should right away sign for a smaller team(still 4 star team) where he doesn't gets lots of pressure and maybe also a league with a little less pace then the Premier League. I think Serie A would fit him the best where even much older strikers can be still successful like Luca Toni was top goal scorer with 38, playing still 39, Klose were also playing and still scoring still 37/38 in Lazio. Or am pretty sure Ibra would still make it in Bundesliga as well, where are full of avarage strikers at best, only Lewandowski is world class there. He could play easily as first choice in a team like Dortmund or Schalke 04. Now it seems like his going to America to play for LA Galaxy, but i still hope he can stay 1 or 2 years in Europe after that he can still go to MLS for a year or 2. Good Luck Legend !!!!

Zlat10 @Ibrahimovic the best player we had got. He could have given us more glory.. Not only he is good at talking he also proved that he was better in the field... If only you were not injured you could have accomplish more.. It's always sad to see good players leaving the club.. We wish you all the best for your future and we also thank you for the games you have played with United and the goals you scored. It was a pleasure seeing you playing which gave us the United fan a real joy. Glory glory man United

No offence to anyone but if Zlatan's relations with pep were resolved then itself in 2009.... then he could have established himself as one of the best strikers in the world!...But he showed his class in Paris! ... Goodluck to Zlatan for a new chapter of his life!

I wonder why footballer from top club never hang their boot eventhough their injuries and performance has dropped so dramatically? Still not earning enough? dont kidding me. their are all millionaire. And the most stupid is LA Galaxy for signing him. Better sign a young top players from Thailand or Malaysia than signing Zlatan. Zlatan household name is already outdated and pass overdue. Let see whether Zlatan can break former LA Galaxy players Landon Donovan records (113 goals). Hope his performance in LA will not be similar to David Beckham (Only 18 goals) or Steven Gerard (Only 5 goals).

Zlatan, it seems that its your own decision to leave man utd but i think its a pressure from mourinho who did this. Atleast you deserved a farewell game with man utd.

To Zlatan Ibrahimovic. I just want to say it pains me to see you leave, can't forget the memories u left in the heads of Manchester United fans, 1.the header against Liverpool 2.the free kick against Southampton. 3.the volley against Man city.. All these is still fresh in our heads, so unfortunate that injury has cut ur time short at the theater of Dreams. Thank you and Goodluck on your next Adventure.. The God of Paris!!!!
