Sassuolo have officially purchased Rogerio and Matteo Pinelli on permanent moves from Juventus.
Rogerio is a 21-year-old left-back who had already been on the Neroverdi books from 2016, but was sold to Juve for €2m and then loaned back on a two-year deal.
That has now concluded and Sassuolo have purchased him outright.
The Brazilian made 33 Serie A appearances this season, contributing one goal and one assist.
Pinelli is an 18-year-old right-back from the Juventus youth academy and an Italy U18 international.
It’s believed both these transfers will work towards Merih Demiral’s €15m switch to Juve.

we are getting another promising young central defender. juve is working well to prepare for our future defence.

How do you rate him compared to Pellegrini?
he is central defender while plegrini more wing back on both sides. still both are yound and can change position

I was just thinking about this. I know Cuadrado has been mentioned as cover for right back so in the case that Cancelo stays. MDS, Cuadrado, Cancelo & Alex Sandro would cover those slots. That’s at no further expense to Juve too but I’d prefer to see Pellergini stay.

i don't see him as a back-up for alex sandro. Not juventus level i think.

Decent player, at this point he is a very good prospect as Pellegrini basically. sold for money, classic Juve move. I'd say probably around 15 mil. will see a few documents coming in in a bit from juve website I reckon.

Haven't seen enough of either to really make an honest call but Pellegrini looks like a good fit for Juventus. Whether or not he's staying is another matter altogether

I like Rogerio. I watched him a few times last season & thought he looked like a very talented young fullback with a lot of potential. I’m assuming this may be ‘loosely’ part of the Demiral deal.
