Aleksei Miranchuk said goodbye to the Lokomotiv Moscow fans after the club announced they have agreed terms for a transfer to Atalanta.
He is currently out with a thigh injury, so did not play in the game against Zenit St Petersburg this afternoon.
However, he did walk under the stands where the home supporters were gathered after the final whistle and said his goodbyes.
A deal has been done with Atalanta for €14.5m, plus a percentage of his sell-on fee.
The creative midfielder turns 25 in October and has five goals in 25 senior appearances for Russia.
His contract with Lokomotiv Moscow was only due to run until June 2021, but he spent his entire career at the club, coming up through their youth academy.
Milan had also shown an interest, but Miranchuk ultimately chose Atalanta, who are in the Champions League for the second year running.
