Official: Nantes buy Lafont from Fiorentina

Nantes have officially activated their option to buy goalkeeper Alban Lafont after his loan spell from Fiorentina.

The shot-stopper had joined on loan in 2019 for circa €0.8m with an option to buy for €7m.

The French side announced they had taken that up and he signed a contract with them until June 2024.

Fiorentina had purchased Lafont from FC Toulouse in 2018 for €8m, but he made very little positive impact in Serie A.

He made 38 appearances for the Viola in all competition, conceding 46 goals.
