Former Arsenal forward Gervinho has reportedly agreed to join Aris Thessaloniki after just one season at Trabzonspor this summer.
The 35-year-old, who played for Arsenal between 2011 and 2013, endured a miserable campaign in Turkey where he was limited to just nine games due to an injury-hit season.
The former Roma and Parma forward suffered a horror anterior cruciate ligament in October which ruled him out for the rest of the campaign.
The Ivory Coast international did however still pick up a Super Lig winner's medal, as he chipped in with two goals and an assist before his injury.
Gervinho now looks set to depart for yet another new challenge in his well travelled career, having played in England, Italy, France, Belgium, China and Turkey.
Aris are closing in on signing the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations winner, according to Sport 24.
The report suggests that the forward is expected to arrive in Greece on Wednesday to undergo his medical before penning his contract, expected to be a one-year deal.
The Greek news outlet has also stated that Gervinho will earn no more than £424,000-a-year, which is roughly £8,000-a-week.
It will be a huge wage cut from his £24,000-a-week deal in Turkey.
Gervinho could link up with former Watford striker Andre Gray in attack for Aris, as he also looks set to join the club.
Gray is available on a free transfer this summer after being released by Watford when his contract expired.
The Jamaica international spent five years at Watford where he scored 20 times and provided eight assists in 124 games across all competitions.
He spent the 2021-22 season on loan at Queens Park Rangers where he racked up 10 goals in 30 appearances.

Is unfortunate or I should call it intellectual dishonesty to describe Gervinho as a one-time Arsenal flop.
