Former Liverpool striker Divock Origi is reportedly set for a shock return to the Premier League.

The AC Milan striker could be allowed to leave on loan and he could spend the season in the English top flight.

During his time at Liverpool Origi made 107 Premier League appearances and scored 22 goals.

According to The Sun, Sheffield United want to sign Origi on loan.

Following their promotion The Blades have lost their opening two Premier League fixtures, scoring just once, and Paul Heckingbottom's side are in need of additional attacking firepower.

Sheffield United sold Iliman Ndiaye to Marseille and feel that Origi could be a useful replacement.

Origi has scored just two goals in 36 games for Milan since arriving at the club last year.

During his time at Liverpool he scored many important goals, including a brace against Barcelona in the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2019.

Origi, who has 32 Belgium caps, started his career at Lille before joining Liverpool in 2014.
