Paul Pogba 'favours a return to Juventus' when his Manchester United contract expires this summer - but the French midfielder 'will have to take a substantial pay cut.'
The 28-year-old is expected to leave Old Trafford when his existing deal runs down with former club Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid all linked with the World Cup winner.
The Italian publication IlBiancoNero report that Juventus is Pogba's preferred destination. He played 178 matches and scored 34 goals for the Turin club between 2012 and 2016.
A desire to win silverware again and helped return Juventus to the top of Serie A is a major motivation for Pogba, who only has winner's medals in the EFL Cup and the UEFA Europa League to show for six years at United.
But the report makes clear that Juventus will not be able to match Pogba's current £290,000-a-week salary at Old Trafford and he will have to compromise.
Juventus are unable to pay such wages and they may have to shift striker Paulo Dybala, who earns £225,000-per-week, this summer in order to accommodate Pogba in their wage structure.
IlBiancoNero also state that a big money sale, potentially defender Matthijs de Ligt, could also be necessary to sign Pogba, even though the Frenchman's transfer fee will be nothing.
His agent Mino Raiola has good relations with Juventus, which would smooth the transfer process.
Juventus are currently fourth in the Serie A standings, some eight points off leaders Inter Milan, but the January signings of Dusan Vlahovic and Denis Zakaria represented a statement of intent.
Adding Pogba ahead of a title challenge next season would please manager Massimiliano Allegri, who worked with the player for two years during his first spell in Turin.
Pogba won four Scudettos and two Italian Cups when at Juventus first time around, also helping them to the Champions League final in 2015.
Success has eluded him and United in recent seasons, however, with Ralf Rangnick's side facing a battle to even qualify for next season's Champions League.
Pogba has endured a frustrating season, missing three months of action because of a thigh injury sustained on international duty with France back in November.
He has only just returned to the side, playing against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup last Friday and then scoring in the 1-1 draw at Burnley in the Premier League on Tuesday night.
Pogba, who has one goal and seven assists in 15 United appearances this season, is likely to be involved when they host Southampton on Saturday.

Yeah. it makes sense with Juve trying to build a new team and struggling in the midfield. he will be welcome.

it would be really interesting getting Pogba back. he is a high-profile player, very good creative midfielder, and passionate about the team. his arrival may persuade Dybala to stay too. On the other hand, his salary is high, injuries repetitive, and may not live up to his memories. Juve management should really have a good look at the market and see what better options we have before turning to Pogba option. We already stunt by Ramsi and Rabiout and didnt even get rid of them yet

Yes Muslims fought the 2 world wars and dropped nuclear weapons on civilian population in Japan. Remember Iraq. Death n destruction in the name of weapons of mass destruction
Your twisted perception is shocking & Insulting while you ignore your own unexplainable & destructive history. Those 2 world wars you love to condemn the US for were not their wars, but they entered them to help save their friends & the world at large from evil that would’ve had every country at its knees if not without the help & defense they provided. Japan was an atomic weapon not a nuclear one, and a again a response & result of a sneak attack that killed many first as well but you can’t see that bc you can’t see past your own nose

Am sick and tired of this bs of a player. From day one of his arrival he has been talking of playing for another club especially nearing the end of his contract.
