Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino says it “would be crazy” not to play Harry Kane against Inter.
The English striker has looked out of sorts at the start of the season, scoring only twice in his last 10 games for club and country.
“I think we would be crazy to think different. Yes,” Pochettino responded when Sky Sports UK asked if he’d play Kane at San Siro.
“I don't know what you expect from me, or what you think my answer should be. He's one of the best strikers in the world.
“He's going to score goals and he's going to perform in the way we want and we expect. No problem.”
Pochettino also spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport about the match, which both teams come into on the back of a defeat, Spurs going down to Liverpool on Saturday.
“I wasn’t getting carried away after three wins in a row and I’m not depressed now. We might have lost against Liverpool, but we ran and fought until the end.
“Inter are a great team with great history and returning to the Champions League will definitely provide special motivation.
“Mauro Icardi? We know his quality very well. As for Lautaro Martinez, he’s a crack, a lad who will go far.”

Tottenham look flat as a club in general at the moment! Stadium completion uncertainty, lack of a stadium sponsor, having the most amount of players at the world cup semi final stages, no mental or physical break for their best players and no new players added to the squad have all created an inertia which will probably see them fall outside the top four places and then the squad could break up. Time for Daniel Levy to put money in or sell to deeper pockets. Just look at Liverpool's increased spending under Klopp as a guide!

Banter aside, Tottenham are going to be in for a tough season. It is unfair to judge them after this game in particular as any team can come back rusty from the international break but their depth does concern me. I do not believe there are any positions they need a severe overhaul in - just minor things to iron out. It will be interesting to see how they get on. Lucas caused us a lot of problems and if Kane can tick with him then I do not doubt for a moment he will have a great season.

England have knackered half the Spurs team playing meaningless games. Poch Sling your hook you talk a good game but that's not enough, you don't pull the wool over my eyes as you have with most of our clueless fans

As a spurs supporter I'm not feeling optimistic for top four this season. Levy did not back Poch in the transfer market. Poch using excuses like the right player wasn't available is total bull. This spurs team needs an injection of pace. Wilfred Zaha? It was only a matter of time Harry would lose form and there is no one of his quality to come in and do a job. Dembele and Toby's futures have not been sorted out and maybe there hearts are not with the shirt anymore. Eriksen yet to sign a new contract and when are we actually moving into our new stadium. The spurs board have done a great job for the club and taken us as far as they can. However, now is the time to sell us on and let the new owners take us to a new level.
