Cagliari coach Claudio Ranieri says his current job will be his last in football.
Ranieri led the Sardinians back into Serie A for this coming season.
He told La Republicca: "I have decided that Cagliari will be the last team I will coach.
"I'd make an exception only for an intriguing international, and I specify that I'm not running for the Azzurri bench. Yes, I'll stop in Cagliari, but I won't I know when.
"Gigi Riva had a great influence on my return. He said some things, his son continued to send me messages, so I thought I shouldn't be selfish, not think of myself but of a people who at that moment was in trouble. And so I threw myself headlong.
"Before I came, Riva said only one thing: Ranieri is one of us. The last time he called me as we were entering the Bari dressing room, on the evening of the play-off final and said, tell the boys they have all our people with them. It was like a blessing."
