Ranieri: Ronaldo looked like an NBA player, he was in the air more than an hour!

Claudio Ranieri admits Sampdoria were beaten by “two masterpiece goals” from Juventus. “Cristiano Ronaldo looked like an NBA player!”

The Bianconeri found the target with a Paulo Dybala volley and soaring Ronaldo header, both on Alex Sandro crosses, after Gianluca Caprari’s temporary equaliser.

“I am very satisfied with the way my lads played,” Ranieri told Sky Sport Italia.

“When your opponents score two masterpiece goals like that, you can only shake their hand and say well done. Goals like that are worth the ticket price.

“Nonetheless, this performance gives us more belief, because we reacted well and created some good chances.”

Ronaldo jumped 71cm off the ground and was at 2.56 metres when he made contact with the ball.

“He looked like an NBA player! He was in the air for an hour-and-a-half!” laughed Ranieri.

“You can’t say anything about that, just tip your hats to them and that’s all.”
